Magnetic Island Race Week 2023 marks the 16^th running of the event, a big draw card to the area creating lots of fun and excitement for everyone who joins in, whether it be from the sea or on land.

A mix of boats from mono-hull racers to cruisers, sports boats and multi-hulls are expected to take part from ports across Australia in Magnetic Island Race Week.

If you’ve never been, you’re missing out on not only seeing a beautiful island in a beautiful part of the world, but also the experience of Magnetic Island Race Week, which can only be described as a unique regatta – and its uniqueness is what everyone loves and loves to be a part of. You don’t even need to be a competitive sailor to take part in this great event, there is something available for everyone, whether you choose to jump onboard a racing yacht or party into the night with the crews at one of the many social functions.

Just a short ferry ride from Townsville, there’s so much to see and do at beautiful Magnetic Island. If you’re lucky enough to have an extended stay following Race Week, you can even take part in The Great Island Trek on September 9. It’s not a race, but a chance to have an adventure while checking out everything Magnetic Island has to offer, from the secluded bays, koalas in the wild and even the chance to spot sea turtles in their natural habitat.
